Celebrations of Christmas

 Christmas

Christmas

is a one-year festival that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, especially on December 25, this religious and cultural holiday is celebrated by billions of people worldwide. The festival is at the center of the Christian literary year, before the start of Advent or the fast nativity scene and the Christmastide season, which lasts twelve days in the West and ends up on the twelfth of the night. Christmas Day is a public holiday in many countries around the world, celebrated religiously by most Christians and cultured by many other Christians, and is an essential part of the surrounding holiday season.

The birth of Jesus, described in the New Testament, says that Jesus was born in Bethlehem. When Joseph and Mary arrived in the city, the inn did not exist and they were offered a stable where the Child Jesus was born, the angels announcing this news to the shepherds who then they released the information.

Although the month and date of Jesus' birth are unknown, the early 4th-century church set December 25 as the date. This corresponds to the winter solstice date on the Roman calendar.] Most Christians celebrate December 25 in the Gregorian calendar, which has been adopted almost worldwide in civilian calendars used in countries around the world. For Christians, the belief that God came into the world as a man to atone for the sins of mankind, instead of knowing the exact date of Jesus' birth, is considered the main objective of the celebration of Christmas.

Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, also known in the Christian religion as the "Son of God". Christmas is one of the most important popular festivals that are celebrated throughout the year, on December 25th of each year.
